Fort Lauderdale, FL - Even the torrential downpour couldn’t stop the party.
With the skies decorated in a pink sunset through the black rain clouds, La PresentaSIon, also known as The Unveil, was a rainy spectacle in celebration of the triumphant signings of Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets.
“This is holy water!” exclaimed a jubilant Jorge Más just moments prior to introducing Messi.
The highly anticipated event drew crowds of fans from all over the world in the stands and on TV.
The Argentine superstar arrived at the stadium, family in tow, amidst cheers and applause, looking sharp in some of his new Miami-inspired Team Messi gear. Similarly, Busquets also strutted onto the scene, wearing a nice Off-White outfit that wouldn't look out of place on Miami Beach.
The excitement in the air was palpable as fans eagerly awaited the duo’s first appearances at DRV PNK Stadium. As Messi and Busquets stepped onto the wet but elevated LED stage, all eyes were on them, with supporters eager to see what the two would bring to the team and the league as a whole.
Messi looked elated as he posed on stage with co-owners David Beckham and Jorge and Jose Mas, as he took in the firework spectacle and roaring fans in front of him.
“This welcome, this affection since I arrived in this city, the truth is I am very excited,” Messi said to an adoring crowd. “I am very happy to be here in Miami and be with you. I come here with the same desire. I want to compete. I want to win. I want to help the club keep growing.”
Though he didn’t get as much excitement as his ex-Barcelona teammate, Busquets looked equally as happy to be there, grinning widely as he was presented as Miami’s new number five.
“For me, it is a blessing to be a part of Inter Miami,” Busquets said in his first comments on stage. “I am so excited to start training and playing with my teammates, and see you soon!”
After the presentation, fans were invited to stay for post-Unveil activities, where they were serenaded by Latin Grammy-nominated singer Camilo, followed by a DJ session by Tiago PZK and Paulo Londra.
The original plan was for the concert to be prior to the announcement. However, due to the weather, the roles were reversed, and, unfortunately, Latin mega-star Ozuna did not perform.
Here’s Some Things That You Missed
The rest of Inter Miami’s squad was there to witness the event as well. Leo Campana, Jean Mota, Gregore, Corentin Jean, Franco Negri, Shandyer Borgelin, Benjamin Cremaschi, Josef Martinez, Nicolas Stefanelli, Nick Marsman, Noah Allen, Robbie Robinson, and Victor Ulloa were some of the members spotted.

Plenty of memorabilia was flying around as each fan was handed special cardboard cutouts of the lyrics of Muchachos:
Messi might already have some competition in the family. His son, Thiago, was caught nutmegging his dad while they walked around the field during the concert.
On Monday morning, Inter Miami and MLS began taking orders for Messi’s #10 jersey. Fans can find it at MLSStore.com.
